Ready, Set, Grow!

It's really starting to happen! The growth we have been talking about for almost 20 years. A new Youth Adviser. A new building. A new CUUPS group. We are bursting with energy and excitement. In addition to record breaking attendance in the sanctuary, we have consistently had 20+ children in the RE program each week. We just hired Erin and Marissa to provide extra hands in the childcare room. Terry and Rick are doing a phenomenal job teaching the Our Whole Lives sexuality curriculum to Grades K-1. Grades 2 to 6 have started the peace and justice curriculum "In Our Hands." The Youth Group is planning a UU heritage trip to Boston. Jennifer made a beautiful journal with the children's photos, letters, and drawings, that is on its way to Krom at the Children's Village in India. The adults are continuing their work with "A Chosen Faith."

All this growth can be credited to the work of many volunteers. It is an exciting time to be a Unitarian Universalist in Northeast PA! If you'd like to get involved in working with our children and youth, please speak to me or Jo. We are looking for volunteers to teach in March and April. If you have ideas for new projects, or talents you'd like to share with the kids, we'd love to hear about them! Ministry to our children and youth is a great privilege. We look forward to sharing it with you!
